Oxygen sensor port and Oygen insertion port.

Here are the two Delrin parts I had made. The one on the left is lathed to tolerance to go into the Drager P Port adapters. There are quite a few people that use the P Port plug as a O2 sensor holder. i.e. www.tmishop.com/New Mods.htm www.tmishop.com/AlansKiss.htm and the plug and lead can be bought ready made from here. www.tecme.de

The part on the right is a replacement part for the red scrubber to lung port. I have chosen to insert my oxygen just after the exhalation lung and before the exhalation side of the scrubber to better aid in mixing and reduce the chance of O2 spikes. I can not claim credit for this idea. I thought Markus Fant's idea of an extender in the same position was great so I carried it one step further and instead of an extension I made a single replacement part.

A schrader valve will go into the side of the port allowing me to easily connect O2 coming from the KISS valve. While the Schrader valve is the simple approach I am considering an AP Valves Gas Connector System, which is a self sealing male schrader valve. This would allow me to rinse or soak the unit with the O2 hose disconnected and allow me to run the unit in SCR mode if I wanted.

Here is the standard black inhalation scrubber port for comparison.

I have just had the inner-diametre of the P Port Plug enlarged to 30mm to hold any of the standard O2 sensors. I will place a small stainless steel grub screw in the side to hold the sensor firm.

This is the new Delrin exhalation scrubber connection. The centre section of the port has been extended to 17mm and a standard schrader/scuba male connection has been installed.

As above but without the inflator hose connected.
