Salt Water Trials.

This is the first salt water trials. I am at the Tweed River NSW which is the local shore diving area for SE Qld diving. I packed the scrubber the night before and set it all up and completed a full set of postive and negative tests. In the morning I loaded it up and arrived well before the tide to do another complete set of tests. Before entering the water I did a 4 or 5 minute pre-breathe to make sure all was as it should be.

Something to note, I need to either hold my nose shut or wear my mask during the pre-breathe other wise I loose gas from the loop. I am concious to breathe through my mouth but after about 4 or 5 breaths I can feel the loop volume is less and that the ADV will kick in soon.

This is some of the Drager Dolphin SCR and Inspiration divers out for the day. It is nice to have company.

Robert Cook on an Inspiration was my buddy for the salt water trials. I carried an extra 5l sling tank of 50% as bailout, which is how I carry it when I dive the unit SCR anyway.
